The scenario:
This SPB is based on fruity habits. Students will aim to produce fruity recipes and other publications to persuade students and children to eat more fruits. Note that the Level 1 SPB concentrates on just fruits, whilst the Level 2 SPB is for fruits or vegetables.

The tasks:

• Students have been provided with a data collection form, to collect their own data for seven days. They have also been provided with data collection forms which have also been completed by three other students.
• They will analyse, using a spreadsheet, the data from the data collection forms
• They will write a report of their findings. This must include charts
• Students will create a data entry form, for a database that has been supplied.
• They will find three new fruits and use the data entry form to add the new records.
• The students will prepare four searches and produce a report of the four searches
• Students will then create two recipe cards, a holder for the recipe cards, and a fun slide show.
• Students are expected to create a project plan at the start of the project. This plan should be used to monitor progress throughout the project. They will produce an end-of-project review. All the required evidence should be submitted in an eportfolio.
