The scenario:
In this project, students are expected to create a digital storybook about anything that would appeal to their chosen audience. The digital storybook will have a cover page, contents page, main story pages with two possible endings, each of which lead to an animated finale.
The tasks:
- Students will create a proposal which will have details of their target audience, topic, style, general outline and animated endings.
- Students will create some detailed designs for the overall structure of the storybook and the individual pages of the storybook. They will then identify multimedia assets that will be used in their final products to communicate effectively.
- They will gather the assets they need to create the components of the storybook. They will edit the assets to make them suitable for their purpose.
- They will create the digital storybook. The user will see the cover page first then the contents page. The contents page will lead to the story pages. The story must end with two possible endings. Each of the possible endings will be an animated finale.
- Students are expected to create a project plan at the start of the project. This plan should be used to monitor progress throughout the project. They will produce an end-of-project review. All the required evidence should be submitted in a multimedia eportfolio.
