The scenario:
This SPB is about planning a campaign about any issue. Students are expected to work in a team of 3 or 4 people to decide on a campaign strategy and produce a set of promotional items.
The tasks:
- Students will have a team meeting and come up with an issue to campaign about. Each individual will then investigate the issue. Each individual is expected to create a mind map and find information from a range of sources.
- The team comes up with some principles for the campaign. Each individual then creates a corporate identity for the enterprise. They demonstrate this by creating a logo, name, strapline and colour scheme.
- The team agrees on a final corporate identity. They then create a collection of documents using the agreed corporate identity.
- The team will decide on 5 items that will attract attention to the campaign, raise awareness and persuade people to join.
- Each individual will investigate the cost of the promotional items and how the team might pay for them. They will create a spreadsheet to answer what-if questions.
- Each individual should present their proposed promotional items to the team. The team decide on a final strategy. The team will share the workload and create the strategy items. One of the items must be web-based product. The web-based product must be produced by the team.
- The team then produces a proposal to convince potential sponsors that the campaign will work.
- Students are expected to create a group project plan at the start of the project. This plan should be used to monitor progress throughout the project. They will create an individual project diary. They will also produce an individual end-of-project review. All the required evidence should be submitted in an individual eportfolio.
