For teachers
Are you already delivering the DiDA course? Are you considering the DiDA course? Do you need some guidance about how to deliver the DiDA Course?
As the Diploma, Certificate Plus, Certificate, and Award in Digital Applications (DiDA, CiDA+, CiDA, AiDA) for ICT Users qualification is still quite new, we have prepared some suggestions based on questions other teachers have asked in the past.
Students get an Award in Digital Applications (AiDA) – worth 1 GCSE – for completing unit 1 (Using ICT).
Students get a Certificate in Digital Applications (CiDA) – worth 2 GCSEs – for completing unit 1 (Using ICT) and any other unit.
Students get an Extended Certificate (CiDA+) for completing unit 1 and and any two other units. Students get a Diploma in Digital Applications (DiDA) – worth 4 GCSEs – for completing all four units.
They can work on Level 1 and 2 SPBs. It is possible to mix and match between levels. To claim a Level 2 qualification, candidates have to have completed at least half of the number of units at Level 2 (ie for DiDA they need at least 2 units at Level 2, for CiDA, they need at least 1 unit at Level 2, for CiDA they need unit 1 at Level 2).
