Your final products
In every project, you will need to create some final products (sometimes called publications or outcomes). For each product, you will be told the following:
- who it is for (target audience)
-
why it is needed (purpose)
-
what information it must contain
- where and how it will be seen or displayed
You will need to carefully consider these. It is not about what is "cool". It is not about what you like. It is not about displaying your ICT skills. IT IS ABOUT FITNESS FOR AUDIENCE AND PURPOSE.
- Put yourself in the position of the target audience. Will he/she find the product you create appropriate?
- Think carefully about the purpose. Will the product have the desired impact? Does it actually do what it is supposed to do?
- Think about the information it contains. Is the information relevant? Does it clearly convey the message? Is the style or layout you used appropriate?
- Think about where and how it will be seen or displayed. Have you made any consideration for whether it will be on-screen or on paper? Will it be seen from afar?
Finally, you should get other people (preferably people in the target audience and your teacher) to check your products. Use their feedback to improve your work.
